AI in Health - The Future is Not What it Used to Be

Parin has spent the last decade developing AI technologies and analytics infrastructure. He currently leads company wide strategic AI decision making at Varian Medical Systems in his role as Vice President of Advanced AI. In previous roles, he architected and managed a continuous deep reinforcement–learning AI, and closing sales with top tier pharma, to deliver personalized planning for glucose regulation. He also formed strategic partnerships and architected multiple processors and hardware algorithms to build a cluster-level AI and analytics acceleration platform.

Parin was formally educated at UC Berkeley, holds a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from UC San Diego and is a former Associate Scientist at Stanford. His career spans 24 years at six startups and two public companies in various individual contributor, leadership and executive positions in hardware and systems architecture. He holds over 50 patents which have either been granted or are pending approval.
