Madan is a social entrepreneur working at the intersection of transforming youth, enabling entrepreneurial journeys & empowering social changemakers. Madan founded 1Bridge in 2014 with a vision of transforming rural youth to be entrepreneurs. Today, 1Bridge is present in 70+ districts across South & East India and has over 6000+ rural entrepreneurs engaged in delivering services to rural consumers. Before 1Bridge, Madan co-founded MeritTrac, India's first skill assessment company. Madan has co-founded Head Held High Foundation, a non-profit that stands for human dignity, as well as Global Alliance for Mass Entrepreneurship (GAME), a network that aims to catalyse large-scale job creation. He is the co-founder of Sylvant Advisors, an ed-tech investor. He also serves as Strategy Advisor to UNICEF India for a youth empowerment initiative- YuWaah. He is the President of TiE Bangalore. As a part of the Governing Council of #CovidActionCollab, he plays an active role in driving the economic resilience impact canvas for the Collaborative. He is an Advisory Board Member of Youth for Seva . Madan is a sought-after speaker at various conferences around the world and has shared his innovative ideas & thoughts at prestigious forums like TEDxIIM Bangalore, TEDxGateway, INK Conference, etc. In January 2021, he was conferred the Social Entrepreneur of the Year Award by India CSR Network. He was also invited by Prime Minister Modi to share his ideas at the Champions of Change Conclave in 2017.
Mickey is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of PeopleShores, which is a Public Benefits Corporation (PBC) focused on Impact Sourcing. He has over 35 years of global experience in helping companies achieve improved performance in IT and business process areas by focusing on business strategy, operating model transformation, service integration and continuous improvement. Mickey started his career working for the pioneer in outsourcing services, Electronic Data Systems, which was founded by Ross Perot. Mickey's international profile is highlighted by living and working throughout Asia Pacific for 13 years. He moved to Hong Kong in 1996 where he was responsible for EDS's Asia Pacific financial industry practice for IT services outsourcing. He also served as the primary leader for EDS Country Managers in eleven different countries to help them establish and build their business and deliver to their clients. Mickey left EDS to join Ernst & Young (EY) as a US Partner, still based in Asia Pacific, as the leader of their Asia Pacific business process services practice. Before leaving Asia Pacific, Mickey worked for Accenture leading IT application outsourcing and then co-founded and established a business process outsourcing company based in Hong Kong. Since returning to the U.S., Mickey has worked for PWC (outsourcing consulting), Travelport (IT offshore large-scale transition) and had returned to EY before joining PeopleShores last year. Mickey received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Stephen F. Austin University in Texas.
Wes has 20+ years experience building and growing successful technology companies. Prior to co-founding DreamStart Labs, he served as a senior executive and board member at several large public tech companies and fast-growing startups. Wes is a frequent industry speaker and was voted & Top Executive Leader in Silicon Valley by the San Francisco Bay Area News Group in 2010. He also lead an award-winning micro-finance institution in West Africa, where he helped hundreds of entrepreneurs access affordable loans to start small businesses.
Gayathri Vasudevan cofounded LabourNet in 2006 with a vision to improve the real income of individuals in the informal sector through sustainable intervention with education, employability and entrepreneurship. Vasudevan has a doctorate in development studies and more than two decades of experience in both national and international organizations. She has been extensively involved in policy issues and community mobilizations relating to livelihoods. She's published in the areas of labor and employment and gender issues. Between 1999 and 2007, Vasudevan worked for the International Labour Organization, a United Nations agency. She was cited as one of the top 50 women in business by Business Today and "Entrepreneur of the Year in Social Business Category" by Forbes India in 2018.
Sahej is an investor at The Rise Fund, the world’s largest impact investing firm managed by TPG. He invests across education, financial services, healthcare, food & agriculture and energy/climate. He is a board observer of InStride, RefleXion and Nithio. Prior to TPG, Sahej was an investment banker at J.P. Morgan. Sahej earned a B.S. from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University.
